The 2011 Sedona Bridal Fair

The 2011 Sedona Bridal Fair is now over. It took place Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Poco Diablo in Sedona, Arizona. All together, 133 brides, along with 163 of their guests (296 people in all) attended. By all accounts, the fair was a wild success. Along with being the founder and president of the organization that organized the event — the Sedona Wedding Professionals Association — I also had the privilege of creating the Bridal Fair website, shooting a short video (see below), taking tons of photos, and, of course, participating. The event video is posted above, and is also available on the Sunfellow Productions YouTube channel. 117 photos from the event, which took place Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Sedona, Arizona, are posted here. The 2010 festival was a pleasure to film and photograph and the people, like usual, were marvelous! Connolly’s Farmers Market In Sedona

I just finished creating this video for Connolly’s Farmers Market. I shot the footage today and finished editing it this evening. The doors open Saturday, September 25th. If you have fruit and veggies that you would like to make available to the larger community, contact Bruce Connolly at 928-300-6586. I also put up a website for Bruce, which is located here. Helping Bruce get his dream off the ground is another step towards building community and helping Sedona and the Verde Valley produce enough organic, locally-grown food to feed ourselves. Other projects include The Sedona Community Gardens: on Ning — on Facebook. I’ve also been helping spread the sustainable bug in Tucson by helping Zenhens with their website.

Sedona Winefest Photoshoot – Video

On July 26th, fellow Photographer Mel Russell and I did a photo shoot for the upcoming Sedona Winefest Festival. Our goal was to create an image that Kudos would be interested in using for a cover. Shondra Thomas-Jepperson, one of the event organizers, asked me to do the shoot and set things up with Lisa Dahl of Dahl & DiLuca’s acting as our model. Lisa shared the spotlight with a vintage Rolls Royce and Sedona’s famous Red Rock Biplane. The following 3-minute video chronicles the event. I’ll post a few finished images in another blog…

Rebecca Martin’s Near-Death Experience

Turns out that Susannah Martin’s mother, Rebecca, had a near-death experience when she was 39 years old. While visiting her daughter in early June, Rebecca agreed to sit down with me for a few minutes so I could make a quick video of her describing her experience. Now 72, Rebecca Martin, PhD, is an author, educator, counselor, and certified hypnotherapist. She has spent 30 years teaching and facilitating seminars, workshops, retreats, and international “Sacred Sites” pilgrimages for academic, business, and medical professionals, as well as the general public. Dr. Martin has numerous audio programs for healing and growth, and is an instructor and practitioner of T’ai Chi. She authored and developed the psycho-physiological training and certification program known as REGENESIS. Dr. Martin’s philosophy is based on the principles of mindfulness, compassion, and self-mastery.
